Use It Tuesday: Uninked Stamps

Okay, so you know when you see a stamp set that you fall in love with and buy it with heaps of projects in mind... and then never get around to using it? Well that's me, with these gorgeous baby stamp set that I bought a couple of months back...

This week's challenge at Use It Tuesday is just perfect if you're like me! I use not only one, but THREE stamps from this set for my project this week. And of course, I combined it with some papers that have been in my stash for about a year...

Materials used: Kaisercraft Lullaby collection: papers, paper pad; Kaisercard (coconut); mesh (baby blue); Fiskars baby stamp set; memento ink (tuxedo black).

So quick and easy to put together but I quite like it!

From Screen to Scrap - The Day After Tomorrow

This month at From Screen to Scrap, we are using the movie poster from A Day after Tomorrow to inspire us. The criteria to go with the poster is:

1 point: White title

2 points: One photo only

3 points: White monochramatic with a touch of blue

And the poster:

When I read the criteria, I thought it would be perfect for a sympathy card, so that's what I did. I interpreted the criteria as follows:

1: Heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on blue cardstock

2: One single stamp in place of a photo

3: Layers of white cardstock matted with blue.

Materials used: Cardstock (white, blue); Kaisercraft Hummingbird collection: stamps; sentiment stamp (with sympathy); Memento ink (tuxedo black); clear embossing ink; white embossing powder; Tim Holtz distress ink (tumbled glass)
